The Sector for Urbanism, Environmental Protection, Communal Affairs, Traffic and Road Affairs performs these tasks:

• Preparation of the program for elaboration of urban plans;
• Urban Planning (urban plan for village, urban plan for out of the settlement, general acts and other planning documents of local interest), elaboration, tracking, implementation of urban planning procedures;
• Issuance of a building permit for buildings of local interest defined by law;
• Determination of the status of illegally constructed objects determined by law;
• Regulation of space and regulation of construction land;
• Providing conditions for drinking water supply;
• Maintenance, reconstruction and construction of local roads, alleyways and sidewalks;
• Determining street names and other infrastructure facilities;
• Communication and signaling of traffic: creation of conditions for establishing the necessary infrastructure in settlements;
• Protection of citizens and material goods and crisis management;
• Preparation of projects;
• Other work defined by law and other regulations, statute and acts of the Mayor and the Council of the Municipality.
